Port & Petal was created around a simple idea: everyday things can still feel special. Fresh flowers gathered with intention. Plants you don’t see everywhere. Beautiful objects for the home that feel collected rather than manufactured.
We’re drawn to things with character—the imperfect, the unexpected, and the pieces that seem to have a story before they ever reach us. Our shop brings those things together in a space designed to feel warm, layered, and just a little bit transportive.
A little family, a lot of heart.
Port & Petal is a family endeavor, built around the things we each bring to the table. Jean brings a lifelong love of flowers and plants, along with the kind of creativity that can’t really be taught. She’ll be the heart of the shop day to day—designing, arranging, caring for the plants, and probably convincing you that you need just one more.
Chris and Kate are bringing the vision to life behind the scenes, from building the space to finding the unusual pieces that give Port & Petal its character. Together, we’re creating the kind of shop we’d want to wander into ourselves: personal, beautiful, a little unexpected, and never too polished to feel welcoming.
More than anything, Port & Petal is something we’re building together—and we can’t wait to open the doors and share it with St. Marys.
